To deliver action on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, cities are crucial agents of importance to secure health and well-being of citizens and the environment. Holistic approaches and cross-sectorial partnerships are important to develop water for smart liveable cities. By presenting insights from cities that are striving to become water-wise, this webinar kicks off discussions on stakeholder inclusion, sustainability and water-wise cities. It will continue at the SDG Summit and workshops taking place at IWA World Water Congress in May 2021 in Copenhagen.

Learning objectives

· Feel inspired to come to the IWA Congress in Copenhagen and be able to take part in the discussion on the Sustainable Development Goals and Water for smart liveable cities and the actions needed to progress to improve sustainability in the water sector
· Exchange knowledge and experience on how water-wise cities promote stakeholder integration and facilitate improved urban planning and design
· Awareness and learning from and between case study cities presented during the webinar on new and innovative solutions
