IWA YWP Global Coordination Call – How to successfully organise IWA events

Organised by the International Water Association (IWA) Youth Water Professionals (YWP) Steering Committee with the support of the IWA Secretariat, the IWA YWP Global Coordination Call is a unique opportunity held exclusively for the IWA YWP Country Chapters. The event seeks to connect all chapter representatives from across the world by sharing strategies on what is working well (or not) within the IWA YWP chapters. Furthermore, the YWPs get to interact with the appointed YWP Steering Committee, a group of accomplished youth in the water sector who use their platform to represent every region of the world via their actions and visions.

This IWA YWP Global Coordination Call will focus on the achievements of the YWP Steering Committee and the YWP Chapters in the context of planning and organising an IWA event (more information about IWA events is available here). YWPs will hear directly from other Chapters that have recently hosted large events and the processes which led to them becoming successful.

This Global Coordination Call is held only for members of the IWA YWP Chapters Community. A maximum of two representatives from each chapter can be appointed to attend the event. Chapters must contact Isabela Espindola, IWA Membership Engagement Senior Officer, at isabela.espindola@iwahq.org to inform about their representatives.

The session is moderated by the IWA HQ and the IWA Steering Committee. The Call will include an open discussion format, along with presentations, to promote active participation among all attendees. The event will be in English, and no translation will be available. Certificates of participation will not be provided.
