Description

The IWA Young Water Professionals (YWP) Philippines Chapter, in collaboration with the IWA YWP Steering Committee, the IWA Secretariat and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), warmly invites members of the global IWA YWP community to an upcoming Get-Together. This online event is part of a dynamic series of virtual sessions designed to strengthen connections, build capacity, and inspire action across the IWA YWP network.

This session will explore the theme of Meaningful Youth Engagement (MYE) in the water sector, an increasingly urgent and relevant conversation. In a field often shaped by top-down decision-making, this online get-together will highlight the growing recognition of young professionals as catalysts for innovation, equity, and lasting change. Through compelling stories, practical strategies, and open dialogue, the event will examine how IWA and its international partners, such as the Asian Development Bank and Grundfos, are embedding cross-generational collaboration and Meaningful Youth Engagement into their policies, programmes, and operations. This session also reinforces the progress and outcomes from the Water and Youth Action Agenda, an outcome of the recent Asia and the Pacific Youth Symposium (APYS), shaped from inputs from young water professionals.

Whether you are an emerging water leader eager to drive change or a seasoned professional championing inclusive governance, this session offers valuable insights, actionable tools, and a platform to connect with peers and advocates of youth engagement across the globe.

The event will conclude with an interactive Q&A session, designed to foster meaningful cross-sector dialogue and generate actionable outcomes.

Please note: the event will be hosted in English, and no certificate will be provided.
