1st International Conference on Photogranules – Supported

Join us in Delft, the Netherlands, from 17 to 19 September 2025 for the 1st International Conference on Photogranules.

This landmark event will bring together researchers in microbial ecology and physiology, environmental biotechnology and engineering who work in the emerging field of phototrophic aggregation. At the conference, researchers will present and discuss advancements ranging from fundamental research to innovative applications in wastewater treatment and ecosystem restoration.

This IWA supported conference will connect specialists across disciplines, foster collaboration and lay the foundation for a dedicated photogranule research community. A rich scientific program, including roundtable discussions, will advance this pioneering field. The IWA specialist groups supporting the conference are the Microbial Ecology & Water Engineering (MEWE) and the Environmental Engineering Education (E3).
